FAQ Viola Cares Q: Is VIOLA Cares an incubator program?
A: VIOLA Cares is not an incubator program.

Through education, expungement, community engagement and comprehensible social good programs, the Viola Cares initiative aims to create more jobs, policy reform, expanded awareness and industry diversity by increasing representation. Viola Cares focuses on changing the industry dynamics of cannabis through strategic partnerships that allow for the increased participation of those most impacted by the War on Drugs, and ensuring our communities reap the benefits of cannabis legalization. Viola Cares is committed to benefiting communities in need in ways including but not limited to food drives, community renovation projects, expungement clinics and countless donations.

Q: How can I be a part of Viola’s incubator program?
A: Visit our VIOLA BUILDS page to learn more.

Q: Is VIOLA Cares a Social Equity (SE) program?
A: VIOLA Cares is not a Social Equity program.
However, we strongly advocate and work alongside policy makers, state representatives and in local governments to do our part to change the policies that cause our communities harm.
We understand that because our communities have been disenfranchised there is a need for a more comprehensive approach to restorative justice. We are always looking to partner with frontline organizers and support social initiatives that address the immediate needs of those communities.

Q: Does VIOLA Cares provide funding and financial support to SE applicants?
A: No.

Q: Are jobs being created through the VIOLA Cares initiative?
A: No. But we do offer workforce development through our Harrington Institute curriculum. Learn more about courses and enrollment at HarringtonInstitute.com

Q: Does VIOLA Cares provide resources to returning citizens?
A: VIOLA partners with both local and national organizations to host expungement clinics across the country.
Viola Cares' first outreach project with Root & Rebound produced a first-of-its-kind toolkit designed specifically for people with cannabis-related convictions entitled: ‘A New Leaf: A How-To Guide for Successful Reentry After A Cannabis Conviction.’
We are always looking for engaging new ways to partner and support expungement by driving awareness campaigns, volunteering and sponsorships.

Q: I have an idea that Al needs to hear. Where can I send more information?
A: You can send all inquiries to the following email: impact@violabrands.com

Q: We’re interested in partnering with VIOLA Cares. How do I know I’m a good fit? (OR What kind of organizations do you partner with?)
A: We partner with organizations that are passionate about creating measurable impact. We are looking to partner with change agents who are doing work that is desperately needed in communities where resources are limited but have formulated a strategic plan to make a difference. We are looking for boots-on-the-ground organizers who need VIOLA to amplify their message and support causes like basic human needs, cannabis legalization and policy reform, and environmental good.
